Anti-Wrinkle Injections
What This Treatment Does
Anti-wrinkle injections use small, targeted doses of a prescription medicine (botulinum toxin) to relax specific facial muscles that create expression lines. When the muscle activity softens, the overlying skin looks smoother, while your face still looks like you. The aim is a rested, natural result, not a “frozen” look.

The Areas We Treat
- Forehead lines (horizontal lines across the forehead)
What you may notice: lines that appear when you raise your eyebrows, and sometimes linger at rest over time.
Why they happen: repeated frontalis (forehead) muscle movement.
What treatment can do: soften the horizontal lines and reduce how strongly they crease when you lift your brows. Balance matters here to avoid a heavy-brow feeling, so dosing is tailored to your muscle strength and brow position. - Glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows, “11 lines”)
What you may notice: vertical lines between the eyebrows, often strongest when you frown or concentrate.
Why they happen: repeated action of the frown muscles (corrugator/procerus complex).
What treatment can do: relax the frown pull, soften the “11s”, and reduce the tense/angry look that can appear unintentionally. - Crow’s feet (lines at the outer corners of the eyes)
What you may notice: fine lines that fan out when you smile or squint.
Why they happen: repeated action of the orbicularis oculi muscle around the eyes.
What treatment can do: soften the crinkling at the sides of the eyes while keeping your smile looking natural.
What to Expect:
Before treatment:
• We confirm what bothers you most, examine your expressions (raise brows, frown, smile), and agree a natural-looking plan for the 3 areas.
• We review your medical history, medications, allergies, previous toxin treatments, and any prior side effects.
• You’ll be guided through benefits, limits, and risks so you can make an informed choice.
During treatment
• Takes around 10–20 minutes for these areas.
• A few small injections with a very fine needle. Most people describe it as quick pinches.
When you’ll see results
• Early changes are usually noticed in a few days.
• Full effect typically settles by around 10–14 days.
How long it lasts
• Results commonly last about 3–4 months (sometimes a bit longer, sometimes shorter depending on your muscle strength and metabolism).
Downtime:
• Most people go straight back to normal daily activities.
Aftercare:
For the first few hours:
• Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas.
• Stay upright and avoid lying flat for 2–4 hours.
For the first day:
• Avoid heavy exercise for the rest of the day if you tend to bruise easily.
• Avoid alcohol the same day (it can increase flushing/bruising in some people).
Common side effects
• Small bumps at injection points, redness, tenderness, mild swelling
• Possible bruising (often settles within about a week)
• Occasional mild headache
Less common but important to know
• Temporary eyelid or brow heaviness/droop can happen if product affects nearby muscles.
If you develop significant weakness, trouble swallowing/speaking, or breathing difficulties after any botulinum toxin treatment, seek urgent medical care.
Who should not have this treatment
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Certain neuromuscular conditions
• Active infection/inflammation at the injection site
• If you’ve had previous significant reactions to botulinum toxin products
